Centipede in the scanning electron microscope

Below you can see the feeler of a centipede, which was recorded in the scanning electron microscope (SEM) at 250x magnification.
On the left, the gold-plated centipede was photographed with the light microscope at a magnification of about 50 times.
On the right, a relief image of the centipede was taken with the SEM at 500x magnification.
