Mouth of a centipede in the scanning electron microscope

Below in the middle you can see the mouthpiece of a centipede, which was recorded in the scanning electron microscope (SEM) at 200x magnification. Good to see: the mandibles as well as the poison claws in dark grey. On the left, the gold-plated centipede was photographed in the light microscope at approx. 50x magnification.
On the right the "teeth" at 1200x magnification with the SEM, in relief.
