Rice beetle in the scanning electron microscope

Below you can see the head of a rice beetle, which was recorded in the scanning electron microscope at 265x magnification. The beetle is about 1.5mm in size.
On the right and left side you can see the whole beetle at 100x magnification. They are storage pests and can cause considerable damage in food warehouses.
We found them in an old noodle.
